When someone is arrested a Judge will hear the information supplied by the arresting officer. This is usually in the form of a Probable Cause Booking Sheet (PC Booking Sheet). The PC Booking Sheet has the reason the person was arrested and the crimes for which he is arrested.
The Judge makes the decision whether to hold the arrestee without bond, set a bond amount, or release the person on his own recognizance.
Bond Set
When someone is first arrested, he has an automatic bond set. The bond is determined by the arrestees charges.
- For every misdemeanor - $250
- For every gross misdemeanor - $500
- A felony or domestic violence crime creates a situation where the person can not bond out until the Judge hears the PC Booking Sheet.
