The Whitman County Board of Commissioners in conjunction with the Blue Ribbon Advisory Task Committee (BRATC) have awarded Whitman County Economic Development Funds, now also known as .09 funds.

Summary of FUNDING CRITERIA per RCW 82.14.370
• Project must demonstrate a direct connection to economic development
• Must retain or increase sustainable economic capacity in Whitman County
• Partnerships are encouraged
• Minimum 10% applicant match required
• .09 funds may fund up to 75% of total project cost
• Projects must demonstrate readiness and sound planning
· Eligible Non-Profit Organizations funding for salaries/wages
KEY DATES
Application Deadline:
• March 23, 2026 – 5:00 p.m. (Applications must be emailed, postmarked or delivered)
Applicant Presentations:
• April 6, 2026 – 6:30 p.m. in the County Commissioners’ Chambers at 400 N. Main St., Colfax, WA
Funding Awards:
• April 20, 2026 - Projects are considered awarded following the Commissioners’ vote.
